I believe this vintage Rider Waite tarot deck is the first edition printed by University Books in New York in 1959 / 1960. It includes the full set of cards plus two promo / advertising cards, and a textured burgundy / maroon slip case box with The Fool on one side and The High Priestess on the other side. The cards are colorful and have a pink ankh design on the back. The box has some minor signs of wear, but the cards themselves are in excellent condition. I don't see any stains, bent corners, rips or marks. The cards are still glossy and vibrant. I believe this tarot deck sat untouched in storage for quite some time before I acquired it. It has the faint musty scent of old books. If you want to freshen the aroma that's up to you! The box measures approximately 5" x 3 1/4" x 1 1/4". Please see photos for details. Box slip measures approx. 5 x 3 1/2". All cards are there with one extra of design info. No instruction booklet that usually comes with cards.Outer box edges have rubbing. I am showing all angles in pics. Inside box has no wear. Titling info on sides and bottom are maybe slightly dulled from time. I am just assuming that as it seems like age and time would have done.
