Exquisite extremely rare Tarot Deck c-1880 (78/78 complete) READ. MORE PICTURES WILL BE ADDED OF THE COURT AND PIP CARDSThis is an Avondo Brothers deck called ‘Soprafino’ which literally translates to ‘Super Fine’. The major arcana are particularly beautiful, but the pip cards also have flair especially the aces. You can read more about the deck here: https: tarot heritage com 2011 10 26 the soprafino deck of carlo dellarocca When I purchased this deck it was missing 2 cards, (La Forza - Strength and Fante Di Spade - Page of swords). I miraculously was able to track down the 2 cards I needed, they are 1880 Avondos cards but a different printing with a slightly different pattern on the back. I've put the entire deck into individual plastic sleeves to protect them, which allows you to (gently) shuffle them and use the cards for a reading without damaging them.You can tell the deck has been used for divination over the years, yet it is still in excellent condition. At some point a French owner of this deck scribbled annotations on the cards. The deck has some crazy spiritual energy. I translated all of the annotations into English and can share the word doc. They are phenomenally spot-on, and are much more blunt and somewhat hilarious compared to more new-age interpretations of the cards. They also have a mischievous tone, or instance on the Fool they write: “Afaitdes folies et en fera” - “He’ll do some crazy things!” on the 4 of Wands they write “réussite infaillible o les projets” – infallible success ofthe projectson the 8 of Pentacles they write “fille brune qui cherche les bataille” – brunette girllooking for a battleThe beautiful deck comes with a certificate of authenticity from McClosky’s Antiquarian.
