eBay OOP Tarot de Jacques Vieville Deck Cards by Flornoy Great Condition!This is a most unusual majors deck in that two copies are included which are mirror images of each other. As explained by the extra card included with the deck: "I seems likely that most of the Vieville deck was engraved using a positive sheet as a guide rather than the usual practice of tracing a negative copy. The image would thus appear backwards when printed. This analysis is disputed by some, but a definitive answer is unlikely to emerge. Here is an adapted version (marked in one corner) in which the Vieville trumps have, by in large, been reversed to provide their mirror image. These manipulations may be reproached as frivolous or arbitrary, but will hopefully enrich (or at least not detract from) the questions surrounding this enigmatic and fascinating tarot."This deck was purchased for study only and has not been shuffled. The cards are in excellent condition. The box is in overall good condition, but one corner is bumped in a little bit. Stored in a home free of smoke, incense, and pets. (Condition: Pre-Owned)
